Fiji Marathon 2008 Cancelled

Regretfully, we have to announce the cancellation of the 2008 Fiji Marathon which was to be held on 17th May.

The current economic climate in Fiji has seen the loss of some key sponsors for this year and with entries down we cannot justify the
mobilisation of Police, Land Transport Authority, ambulance, volunteers and other resources to put the race on. We have no alternative but to cancel the 2008 event.

The few on-line entries we have received have not been processed.

We will assess the situation with our sponsors and hope to announce a date for 2009.

We apologise for any disappointment and inconvenience.

The Event

The Fiji Bula Marathon will be based at Crows Nest, Suset Strip, Korotogo, 6Km south  of Sigatoka and features a scenic course along Fiji’s beautiful Coral  Coast.

The event includes :

Overall Male & Female winners in  the Marathon win a return trip to the 2009 Bula Marathon flying Air  Pacific.

Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age  category

All finishers will receive a special commemorative Fiji Bula  Marathon T-Shirt.

Friday 20th May 10am - 4pm at Crows Nest Resort, Sunset Strip, Korotogo Sigatoka. Shuttle buses from Coral Coast Hotels.
